In preparation for Earth Day, April 22nd 2015, we are educating our students about reducing plastic straws. Plastic creates lifelong waste because it doesn’t break down, poses a danger to aquatic life, and contains toxins that have been linked to cancer. Our students are creating fliers and table toppers to educate the San Francisco public about the need to significantly reduce straw consumption. Special thanks to Amy Conger for leading this initiative!
